Maurice Daubard
EKA PADA RAJAKAPOTASANA
(the dove)
Maurice DAUBARD may have made a name for himself teaching Tibetan Toumo and surpassing oneself during his expeditions to the Extreme, but he is nonetheless one of Europe’s leading yoga teachers. A professional since 1970, his reputation has spread beyond France. An honorary member of the European Yoga Union, he has studied with Indian, Tibetan and European yogis. He has also taken courses in vertebrotherapy with André De Sambucy, a renowned vertebrotherapist. Maurice DAUBARD studied medicine for 2 years, dermatology for 2 years and psychiatry for 10 years with a psychiatrist.
Above all, Maurice DAUBARD always asks his students to share his enthusiasm, spontaneity, simplicity, naturalness and authenticity. Maurice DAUBARD likes to say that “yoga is a culture of self-knowledge in three dimensions: body, mind and spirit”. The body and mind are instruments at the service of the cosmic heart or universal consciousness, the deepest self. The separation of these three dimensions is not true yoga.
This is the basis of his teaching.
