TEACHING STAFF
Since 2021, Patrick Daubard has headed the IMD and is present on most face-to-face courses in Italy.
Depending on the dates of the courses, he relies on the presence of one or more collaborators presented below.
SYLVIE SCHMITT

- Yoga teacher (certified by EFY Paris and affiliated member of FNEY)
- Trained in the Yoga of Sound (Certificate from the Instituts de la Voix – Patrick Torre).
- Founder of the SylvoYoga concept. Her interest in trees led her to train in Sylvotherapy. Drawing on her 25 years’ experience in yoga, Sylvie Schmitt combined yoga and Sylvotherapy to create SylvoYoga. This concept is based on the undeniable fact that human beings and nature are inseparable!

His teaching comes from Russia, Canada and France, where he has studied with internationally renowned masters and instructors including Michaïl Ryabko, Vladimir Vassiliev, Alexeï and Arkadi Kadochnikov, François Rostain, Khosrow Helly, Maurice Daubard and Yoshi Oïda.
EMILIE BIERRY
Instructor
- Tummo Yoga Teacher (MDI)
- Yoga teacher (trained by Maurice Daubard)
- Landscape architect
Since 2017, following in the footsteps of her teacher Maurice Daubard, Emilie has been guiding her students along the path of self-knowledge. Through her hyper-sensitivity to the subtle, the quality of her guidance enables access to levels of consciousness that sometimes had never (or too discreetly) been revealed, a veritable doorway to spirituality. As a landscape designer, she seeks to uncover the potential of places. For her, nature and yoga are sources of inspiration, teachings and a return to oneself…
ANNE LAURENÇON
Instructor
- Tummo Yoga Teacher (MDI)
- Trained in Hatha Yoga (FIDHY)
- Yoga Nidra teacher
- Translates into English lessons given at IMD during face-to-face courses
- Genetics researcher for the CNRS
“The fundamental question of understanding where life comes from and where it’s going takes on two forms in my life: on the one hand, in the sciences, where my studies in genetics for the CNRS enable me to ask this question experimentally; and on the other, using the tools of yoga on a personal level, in this space of encounter with what has been, what is, what will be and what is beyond the three times.
Yoga is above all a path to self-knowledge, not from a narcissistic angle, but towards openness, to oneself and to others. This art form came into my life over twenty years ago: ashtanga yoga, then hatha yoga, and more recently yoga nidra and yoga toumo. While each yogic approach brings a different touch, they all come together to give the practitioner a sense of well-being and perspective in the face of our physical or emotional limitations”.
FABIO STEFANI

- Enseignant de Hatha Yoga (lignée « exstatic yoga » de Marc-Alain Descamps ; formation Sivananda)
- Yoga Nidra and meditation teacher (Swami Veetamohananda, Ramakrishna Vedantic Centre, Gretz; Micheline flack, Satyananda Bihar School, Paris)
A clinical psychologist with a Jungian orientation, secretary of the AFT (Association Française de Psychologie Transpersonnelle) from 2015 to 2020, he leads psychological groups on self-knowledge through confrontation with the unconscious and the study of dreams and mandalas. He is working on the synthesis of archetypal psychology with Eastern contemplative traditions.
NOÉMI PINÈS KAHANI
Instructor
- Tummo Yoga Teacher (MDI)
- Teacher of Vijnana Yoga
- Trained in trauma-sensitive yoga
- Psychotherapist specialising in trauma treatment
- Doctor of Philosophy (Department of Interdisciplinary Studies)
Knowledge of the body is fundamental to all psychological work. The body preserves the trace of our history. A culture of self-knowledge,” said Maurice Daubard. Toumo yoga brings us face to face with ourselves in the most intimate and uncompromising way. It’s a fascinating journey that deepens with each passing year, and can even lead to spiritual experiences.
